Hi,all!
I have a question for all of you;
My husband got an e-mail saying:
Kindly arrange for a pre-paid courier in order to pick-up your passport as your visa has now been issued.
Collection hours are Sunday through Wednesday at 3:00 PM and Thursdays at 1:00PM.
What we have to do?Do we have to send an empty envelope inside for his passport?
Any ideas?Please let me know...

another quick update.... the other day they put a new date of in process as Sept.15th under his permanent resident row.I was happy they are looking at the files quickly now so I think we will all get another update soon god willing.

they sent my application on the 15th of septmber and they started processing it on the 4th of novmber 2010 so it took them 52 days
i think you need to send them an email tell them why dont you start proceesing the application .
iam sure they will gonna answer you but without saying anything bad to them an email with a polite way you will gonna get an answer

Hi Catch me  Hope things are good on your side too ! I must admit that me and my husband are starting to be anxious since we did not hear anything for over a month but we are not giving up! I'm not sure anyone knows. A few have received an email saying files were sent to Ottawa because of the problems in the middle east. If this is the case, I'm sure it is the same as though they were processing the files in Cairo. |

When your application is received in Mississauga, from that day, does your 60 day process start?? Average processing time as stated on the website is 66 days right now. They are working on applicatons received July 15, 2011. Myself and others received a letter in the mail about our sponsorship approval. Some have received emails. We heard nothing from Mississauga or Cairo until the 24th of August when we received an email saying our file was transferred to Ottawa due to the conflict in the middle east. Since August 24th, we have heard nothing further. Can you please provide some timelines for us....Thanks. |

Hi Mish Welcome to our thread, I just want to tell u don't worry my husband at Canada got a mail from Mississauga after quite long time, they received our file in 4th of April and got a mail in 26 of July, the processing time then was about 45 days, but maybe we got it somehow late cuz of the postal strike of Canada post at that time, but that doesn't say that they replied late too, don't worry I'm sure ur gonna get yours too soon inshallah good luck Cheers, Spirit |

Welcome Mish My approval took 28 days Feb.1 applied and Feb.28th approved and Cairo recieved the papers march.11th and my approval letter came to me in the mail within the week.That part went really fast but not too long after the rebellion took place in cairo and the mail strike here so we had our papers in before that, it looks like they are backed up a little so very soon you will hear something I am sure. |

i do like this topic , we are all in one boat my husband received email few days ago from cpp-o stating that his PR application is processed there right now , we waited for a long time as the whole process started on march 2011 , does anyone know how much time it takes to receive the visa after this mail  ? |
