Hello everyone,

I would like to be a new member at this topic,

but i have a question,

How do you exactly use ecas, there is a client id # in the letter of Mississauga that's the PR card number of my husband who is sponsoring me in canada and there's also a KIT # writtien under it, which one should i use, and what selection should i choose at ecas? is it Client Identification or Immigration file number or somthing else? should i fill my info or my husband (the sponsor's) info at ecas?

i've tried using the reciept number but it didn't work out, please someone help me about this cuz the client # that was written at the letter is just my husband's (the sponsor) client ID in Canada? is that normal or should i get a different number?

My husband recieved the letter in 28th of june that was dated as 7th of june i guess because of the postal strike we've waited for more han two months to get it since our file was recieved in Mississauga in the 4th of April.

Thanks,
you use client id number as Client Identification using your info

Hi spirit-88

In the drop down list, choose, client ID #.

If your husband is the sponsor use his last name, his date of birth and Canada as the country.  This should work.

Hello Everybody Smiley

I have "sorta" good news for our little group Smiley

After seeing/reading everything that is going on in Egypt and in this forum, I decided to contact my MP.

Her office, after doing some research, confirmed that immigration is not on hold in Cairo and they are still processing applications. So... the happy news is.... there is no application pile accumulating in the Cairo's office!!

However, the average is still 1 year for an application to be processed...

Now I hope the next 6 months will fly!!

Stay strong everyone Smiley

That is good news Mels.  It means we should be hearing something....anything....in the next oh, 5 months...

Not sure why they don't communicate with their applicants though.  At least an email to say they acknowledge receipt of the application.

One more good news !!!!!
my wife did the same a couple of days a goo and she went to meet the MP
and he told her exactly as they told mels , and i think all of you guys should do the same and let the person who sponser you do that to let those people know that there are people suffering here waiting and nobody care to give them any answer here in the cairo visa office or even send them a note that they are working on the file
Finally , “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”
regards to you all

My sponsorship for my husband application has been approved on July 2, 2011 and was sent to the Cairo Visa office on July 7th. Lots of friends told me that it is usually takes 5 months to be finalized in Cairo. However, from i hear from you guys here that it might take a year not 5 months, I might cancel my application and leave Canada permanently. I did not think that the Canadian Government see it is OK for a husband and wife to live apart for more than a year taking into consideration that those couple most likely be newly married.

By the way, there is a web site that has a nice table that shows the real dates of actual cases of some applicants. I urge you to add your case to that site
            www . trackitt . com / canada-immigration-trackers / family-class

I would like you to have a look at the cases in Delhi Visa Office. Guess what?.. it takes there only TWO WEEKS to be finalized !!!!!!!!!!!

you know ( Too _Much) you're right about what you're saying because me and my husband has been separated for 3 years and came to marry me and just spent 2 months with me and traveled to canada again to start my sponsorship process, it's really too long, i don't know why they can't make a law that gives the spouse a work permit for 2 years for example untill they can identify that this marriage is really true and start the PR process inside Canada, this is realy inhuman, me and my husband have been living in depression for years!!!
