White sheet is the first response you got from them informing you that your application was recieved, your file number is given to you and that within 40 months your file will be finalized. hi all,im a feb 2008 applicant, applied for caips 5 weeks ago thru a friend in canada, have received caips.they apparently have some point system now, which gives us zero in all categories,i dont understand this, since we apllied in sap systen no update or docs have been so far requested,so what this mean?also it mentions 42 to 48 mnths time span, another thing that theyve mentioned is white sheet sent 40 mnths, now what does this statement mean???!!!anybody who understands this doc please reply soon...also feb 2008 applicants please send for ur caips as well to c what responce is sent/ thanx

The 40-monthperiod is from time of filing your application. It looks that applications of Nov 2007 - Feb 2008 are not on priority. However expect to get the dox update request within this year, maybe by summer 2012 you will get the visas, hopefully sooner but on what i see on the forums this maybe the best scenario Allow at least 48 months to finalize your file and get the visas. Am not expert but its just my observations. thanx mrprice for your response.we have the file number.but what about info update,med,policecertificates,....also does 40 mnths time frame is from now or from feb 2008??this is quite frustrating!

thanx mrprice, thanx for your reply.if the occupation category in which we applied in feb 2008 is no longer in the new 29 occuupation list ,should we be very hopeful of a positive call?also as i see my caips notes it says "once fee taken and PI done.PI screen completed, new white sheet sent,42 to 48 months ,file to PPS" please elaborate and explain what it means,if possible. many thanx

Did you recieve the 42-48 months paper notification? I recommend to order caips notes again in july-aug if you have not heard anything from them by then. thanx mrprice, thanx for your reply.if the occupation category in which we applied in feb 2008 is no longer in the new 29 occuupation list ,should we be very hopeful of a positive call?also as i see my caips notes it says "once fee taken and PI done.PI screen completed, new white sheet sent,42 to 48 months ,file to PPS" please elaborate and explain what it means,if possible. many thanx

hi mrprice. another thing that came to my attention is "paper file sent to PPS.file BF'D to:PPS on 28-2-2010 MICROLOCATOR" what is PPS what does this sentence mean? should we email cic london to inquire because we have not received any request for doc update on phone or via mail.btw our phone number mentioned on our forms have changed aswell but mailing address still same.could that create a problem?is there a way to update new contact numbers? many thanx

Going by the comments of others regarding CAIPS interpretation, PPS is likely the initials of the officer to whom the file will be BF'd.
