Hi,

I am planning to buy a used couch off Kijiji. Are there any movers who are willing to move only 1 item from one place to another (i.e. my apartment)? I know that some moving companies require 2 or 3 hours minimum.

I think all companies (even the independent guys) have a 2-3 hour minimum. Do you have a license? If so, you'd probably be better off renting a cube van from uhaul or renting a van or truck for just a few hours from zip car or autoshare (assuming you're located in a major city).

not sure where you are. but if in Toronto then I hope you are aware there is a huge bed bug problem. And a lot of people are trying to avoid buying used staff, there is a chance that with this couch you'll bring bed bugs to your place that will not be easy to get rid off. Go to Ikea a lot cheap and nice couches there.just my advice, don't risk.
