You have to give us an idea of the city.  In Vancouver a Taxi license would cost you about $450,000.

Hi

I think PMM also included his consultancy charges in this cost which would be i guess 70 % of total cost....... lolz.......

I know it is hard to believe, but you might want to read this story from CBC in 2008.  http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2008/03/03/qc-taxiownership0303.html  or http://www.straight.com/article-351155/vancouver/bc-supreme-court-sides-taxi-driver-licensing-dispute-black-top-cabs

You think that's bad?  Medallions in New York City currently go for about $600,000.  As far as I know, the business model basically requires that you take out a loan to cover the initial cost of the medallion, but you will always be able to sell it to someone else later, so it won't really end up costing you that much.

In case anyone is interested... I happened to be speaking with an owner in Toronto last week and apparently the taxi licenses here are now going for somewhere in the neighbourhood of $250K.

Hey, I know they are going to replace all Yellow Cabs in New York and replace them with something really hidisously ugly!

Maybe we can buy a few of those Yellow cabs that are going to end up being scratch and start our own Taxi business?

I ll be running the "Call Center' ok? Tongue

The woman fell in a sitting position on the roof of a taxi driver who went out just before the decline of deep roof of his house and smashing glass.
