Business Licensing Requirement in Canada

I am going to relocate my business from Australia to Canada once we arrive in Canada, can someone give me a quick run down on what kind of licenses are required? We run a Business Research & Consulting Business.

1) Do we need to obtain a Business License or Number
2) Do we need to register HST?
3) Most of our revenue are based in USD, how does tha tax treatment work in Canada?
