guillej10,

I sent inquiry last week but now till now no response. Usually they will send that scripted standard reply. I pointed out that it's over 12 months since my application. Keep in touch bro.

jo

Jo,

Nope I didn't request it, I thought I would have the visa by now. I'm just gonna wait till next week and on Thursday I will send an email saying that's it's been over a year since they received my application and that I would like to know the status and see what happens...

Super - I just called CIC at 1-888-242-2100 and the guy told me that our cards are not even produced yet!!! He sent an email to do them ASAP or to inquire why they are not done yet.

My wife's name is little confusing as its different than in her visitor permit and I am thinking this is the issue.

Can you please call CIC and let me know your status. Thanks Super. The guy was helpful and took his time to search our file and see its status.

Sept!!!, our cards were mailed yesterday!!.. hope they make it by friday....

Hey Sept, I just got on to see what's going on and saw your note. I will call them tomorrow for sure and will update everyone... you know my US PR is also approved and now I have to pay the fees, it hurts tho and I was a bit reluctant to do it 'cause of the situation in US. But I think I will do it just in case ( I have to pay 1,212 US$) ouch.. I haven't done so but what do you think....my brothers and sisters live there .... share your thoughts...
Hi superboy,
I would like to answer the question,if you dont mind. US is a much better country in all respects, expect health care. US is cheaper, standard of living is much better, everything is cheap(atleast in Tx), customer is the king. Milk in Tx costs $1 for 1 gallon for atleast 3 months in a years other wise $2, chicken is < $2 for skinless boneless chicken for a pound (every single thing is cheaper sometimes by 50% than in Canada), housing prices are cheaper, roads are bigger, drivers are courteous, the list goes on and on. But, all this is valid only if u are a healthy person with good health insurance. If you are over 50 years of age,or/and has health problems, stay in Canada. But get green card for ur kids, come what may. Work out in such a way that ur kids get US and Canadian citizenship/ or citizenship of one and pr of another.

Yes, these are the things I've been thinking about. I lived in California for 2 years and I can compare pricewise everything is cheaper then here in Canada, so I will make the final decision soon...Thanks though this is good info Sinbad, you brought up very good things to my mind....

To superboy and sept 15, and people who are stilling waiting for PR cards,

I just called the CIC hotline and the lady told me my cards are still under processing... not yet done! It takes longer than regular time because there are too many cards being processed.. She doesn't know when it will be finished as well.
I will call them again by the end of May if I still cannot get it.

HELLO ALL, Need a help/advise. I sent my passport to Buffalo visa office on Tuesday. Actually I shipped it to their Fort Erie address. It reached fort Erie yesterday, Thursday. When I sent my package I added feature for receiver to sign off. It is Friday already and nobody from Buffalo visa office went and pick-it up the package. Should I give more time or was a signature request a bad idea? Any suggestions what should I do?
