Same here, Buffalo received my passport March 7, changed my status to Decision Made on March 17, but still hasn't shipped my passport as my tracking number still doesn't show any activity. I guess it will  be at least a week before they post it.

What's the point of having tracking?! I hate that Buffalo don't let us use commercial couriers, I'd rather pay 50 bux more and guaranteed safe and on time delivery of my package...

Super and 4m family - If your passports were received by March 3, I would not expect them before the end of next week. Count 15 working days since they received it (do not count the day it was received at Fort Erie)... This will come to: Your passports should be discharged by tomorrow or Friday.... You should have them next week - my best judgement.

Hey guys, I know this is off topic but knowing that you've been working here in Canada for quite awhile already I thought I will ask. I have a job interview for a service oriented company located in the "warehouse/manufacturing" area of the city for an Office Assistant job... Do I need to wear a business suit or that would be considered overdressed?

My suggestion is to come a day or two before the interview and observe how do people dress around there.

For an Office Assistance job, yes. There is nothing called over-dressed. You will be benfitted with that. But if you 'under-dress' (lol), that is definitely not good. So, yes, my opinion is to be dressed rather than jeans- and Ts.

Mind you, you never get points for dressing up, its just an 'expectation' and first impression is the best impression. I had a lot of interviews (over 30, perhaps).

That is my opinion.

Know about the Company.
Make sure you represent that you have the qualities they are asking for.
Lots of behavior type questions - (situational).
talk till they tell you to stop.

if you go to U of R Bookstore, they have a good book on preparing for an Interview - cannot remember its name.

Good Luck.

By the way - is this question related to : 'Buffalo Processing Time'. Winnipegmb must kick you out of his forum. lol

You are quite welcome. Like I said: You might not get any points from dressing up but you might not be very impressive if you do not dress up. Better safe than sorry.

Might be challenging since this is your first interview and challenging with lots of people - but keep your spirits high and prepare well. BSing is fine as far as it gets the job. Positive impression and trust in yourself and your abilities.

If we can get the passports back this week, we will go landing in the border on Sunday.. otherwise, it will be another week. I can't wait for this " real status",  I can sign up for a free " french language courses", applying SIN cards, and purchase the RESP plans for my kids

I know & understand, 4mfamily. Look at it this way - If we have waited for 52 weeks, 1 week is nothing. I pray you get it fast.
I like RESP - My daughter already has one and she is 6 months. She will be richer than us very soon. It has 20% interest - good deal from the Govt. Good luck.
