hey Tanyar2408,

If your heart is in Canada dont give up. If you go back home you will still be forced to look for a job there and with the global recession its tough everywhere. Best wishes
Yeah i agree man hang in there the best you can. And don't allow this pressure get btw u and your goal (Canada). I've been here for 15yrs almost and always on Temporary status too. I still had to apply and deal with application processsing time twice...this time I'm confident to make it through and yet it ias so hard to stand still to your dreams.

We can if we go one day at a time and don't envy others success.

I have send in my package with a draft to Buffalo on June 4th. According to the bank it has not been cashed yet. The bank advice is to cancel it and issue a new draft.
Does anyone have the experience that it can take over 9 weeks to cash it? any input is welcome
thanks!

Shouldn't the draft stay valid for 6 months? And if you are only 1 week late, why are you worrying that much? Besides, there is no specific timeline for draft to be cashed.

I worry because of the mail strike. My package couldn't be traced anymore because of it. So if others have to wait this long I am not worried at all. But if other drafts that have been sent in have been cashed then I worry that my package might have been lost. It would be frustrating to find that out after 6 months.
Thanks for you reply!

Bank drafts must be less then 3 months. Beyond 3 months, you can easily go to your bank and ask that they process a new one. I know someone in this forum, ittech, whose application was sent on 24/05/2011 and recd the next day. He just recd his application back because of some incomplete info. The draft wasnt cashed either for that reason.

So, my advice  is wait a little longer till about 3 mths and one week or even 3mths and 2 weeks and contact Buffalo to say you will cancel the draft and do a new one and know how to have it link to your file. Then cancel or BD and get another one.

Basically wait another month just to be safe and know :
For files that are complete, Buffalo will accepts Bank draft, Money order, Cashier's cheque when made payable to the Consulate General of Canada. These financial instruments have a limited validity. Ensure that the instrument is not older than3 months when it reaches our office.

I sent my and received on June 6th, draft has not cashed yet till yesterday. I think we shall wait a little longer. Things have been very slow in Buffalo, especially for PNP.
Cheers!

Hello Everyone,

I have received AOR on August 5th via email and I was expecting Med request within a week after AOR. I made an appointment with Doctor for August 18th, but I did not receive Med request as of today.  Sad

Questions:
-Is it normal?
-Should I do the medical on appt date even I don't receive the Med request?
-Can I do medical with UIC and Application # (no File # yet) or do I need ant doc from medical request package?

Thank you guys being so helpful
