hello everyone. im new here and have loys of questions, hope you could help me...

Buffalo received my application package 5th oct 2010. the medical request came 2nd week of april 2011. but since then i havent heard anything yet.  it has been almost 10 months since buffalo received my application. when i go online and check ecas, it only states that the visa office had received my application. is my application processing time in the right time?

Second, i read in other forums that paying rprf even without the request from vo would somewhat speed up the processing. i already ordered from cic the receipt and got it in the mail today. so what do you think?

Thank you very much in advance to those who can help me with my questions...

Have you ever checked the PNP timeline for CIC-Buffalo? It's currently 13 months from the day they received your application. (Ref: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp)

7 months for getting Medical Request which has been 6 months for you. And then it's around 4~6 months from the day CIC received your medical test result till you get your PPR. You did not mention when CIC received your medical result back. Count the days from that date. You can also compare your timeline with similar people in trackitt.

I don't know about RPRF. If you pay it early enough, it may save you some time. But my wise guess is that it wouldn't do a lot.

No problem. I forgot to mention 1 thing: DON'T WAIT TO PAY THE RPRF TILL THE LAST MINUTE. By last minute I mean when they say they are ready for Visa stamping; but you did not pay your RPRF. Then they will send a request for it and will make the whole processing delayed by at least a month or so.

I'm actually confused as well to find a suitable time to pay the RPRF. I may open a whole new topic on that if I don't get a request when I open my mail tonight. Tongue

Hi I thought u could pay the RRPF at the time of passport request. For instance, when I get my PPR i'm gnna fly to get the visa instead of waiting 1 month to get my visa. At that time I will pay RRPF-I've heard of a few people who did it like that.

Hi yes we do. I think the NY office is the only one that does not allow in person stamping. I could be wrong.

Does anyone knows how we can do this...like..
What Seattle requests in their PPR? Also, can we walk-in and when to do so? Is there a link to get that info? i tried searching but can't get it.

Sorry but I cant go myself so need to know ahead and see which friend can!!

Why is it people who applied this year have got med request but I haven't seems unfair to me.  I have decided if I haven't received at least a request for my visa by end of year that is it going home... As much as i would like to stay it is getting too hard to live on my wages and cannot get a second job Sad

hey Tanyar2408,

If your heart is in Canada dont give up. If you go back home you will still be forced to look for a job there and with the global recession its tough everywhere. Best wishes
