2011/03/18   07:42   FORT ERIE   Item successfully delivered

hehe. I remember, I got the same kinda email on March 18, 2010 saying: Item successfully delivered to Buffalo.
This year on March 18, its Fort Erie.

Super, 4mfamily - Are you tracking your return envelope?
Hello Sept15 et'all

1. When I went to London Drugs to get the photos they noticed the photo specifications were different than before, now the size is 35 x 45 mm. I checked and double checked the photo specifications just to confirm I was correct, the 2 photos you sent when submitting your application stay in file and the actual 2 other photos you sent are for the PR card that is why is different now 35 x 45mm hope this helps. This is what I understand.
2. I am tracking my return envelope but nothing yet, I am not expecting it until next week though. It was received in March/3rd so far 11 working days...

don't have the record of the tracking number in system, means Buffalo has not yet sent out, it has been 10 th days after they got our passports.

I just knew that we have to send photos to apply the PR cards again? why do i hear from somebody that it will automatically send to us one month after landing?

You do not need to send the photos now but when you go for landing - if I were you, I would take 2 photos with me. Other consulates, ask for 4 photos and I believe that in that case you do not need to take any photos with you when landing. But Buffalo asks for 2 and not 4. Again, I am still researching this but this is my best guess. You do not apply for PR card, the Office will take all the information from you and send the 'stuffs' to case processing center.

Clear as mud?

Hey Super,

1. We never sent any photos for PR card - the two photos that we sent with PPR were for Visa. They just save it? That is what we do when we applied for Temporary Residence Visa and I am sure you have done that many times? Where I am getting is - we still need to take 2 more photos when doing the landing?

Thanks Amigo. Good luck on your vacation. I need to book our tickets too but not sure when to expect the passports back... My 4-months vacation were approved by my employer today... and tons of work ahead.

Good luck on your vacation. Hope you did not party too much last night - St. Patricking - Greening yourself.

Procan - There are people who have received their PPR minutes/hours after this response. This is just a generic response the admin sends without knowing what the heck is going. Stay tuned and we pray you and others get theirs very soon. But my point is: DO not interpret this email response too much. Just keep waiting.

Super - One more thing I want to clarify is: The dimension of 45 x 35 mm has been there for quite a while BUT what they have changed in February 2011 is that distance between chin to crown... (this is the difference between Visa photos and PR card photos). http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EB.asp

Just wanted to let you & others know...

You are right. The link that I just sent was NOT for Visa, Medicals, initial PR application. The link was for PR Card (photos required during landing). Confirm it from other people though - do not talk my words.

Take care and have a nice weekend.
