actually, nobody knows, how CIC process the apps.
bcos, few of them who did their med in Sep, already got their ppr!!

Hi procan,
The reason why you have not received ppr yet may be due to the fact that u did medical in late august.

Keep mailing them and asking for status..if they say ur file is in final review, u will receive the ppr soon.

Hi Procan, Chi girl,

Jut my personal thought, might be wrong : I am sure all of us have applied on AINP H1-B program. Procon and Chi girl left USA for personal reasons...I think CIC is taking more than expected time to take a decision on your case. As Please enlighten me, as of now anybody who left USA and applied under AINP H1-B program...did get their PPR ? I dont think so. I personally feel Leaving USA when Canada PR under process is posing a risk. I might be totally wrong here..its just a trend i feel is happening.

Nope, that wasnt me. I am still in the unlucky circle it seems  Sad
I got the IA on Nov 10th, 2010. I did sent email as well as case specific enquiry last week. I havent got any reply yet. I sent another case specific enquiry this week also, since its been more than 12 months (more than avg processing time), they have to reply. but I havent even got a confirmation email which we usally get, when we send a enquiry Angry
anyways, i cant do anything either, other than waiting, right?

Procan,

There is something wrong if you have not received conformation email. Use normal email. I had stopped using case specific, when I didnt get confirmatory email.

You are right. use direct e-mail. Case specific form, doesn't' return confirmation and nobody responds to it.

Hi Rajesh;

I left because my 6 years of h1b expired. But, I do know of someone who applied a little before I did, and he got his passport 3 months ago from the LA office. I don't think this has any effect. There are also people close to my timeline, who are still in the US, and just got their pprs.

Super - On vacation??? hehe.

People who will be getting their passports back, have you done research on these two questions:

1) What documents do we need to present during landing- especially if you are already in Canada?

2) Do we need to take pictures with us - how many? what specifications. I just read that they have new specifications: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EB.asp   Its different than Visa photo sizes.

AlbertaGovernor - Any answers to these two questions?

My husband flagpoled at North Portal border crossing last January 5, he only brought with him his passport with visa and the COPR. He also has his car's registration, just to be sure... But they never asked for it though.

That is where exactly we are going - North Portal. You must be in Regina?

Did your husband receive his PR card yet? I takes 4 weeks - that is what they say?

Interesting that they did not ask him - Did your husband send 4 or 2 photos to CIC with PPR?

Thanks.

He got his PR card 2nd week of February, around 5 weeks. Yep, we're in Regina... He sent 4 photos each but when he got our passports back Los Angeles VO returned 2 of the photos.

When my daughter and I landed in Vancouver though, the CBSA officer told us that the photos we had on the COPR were not acceptable. Fortunately I brought extra photos with me. I followed up with our PR cards, call centre said it will be delivered to us by next week.

North Portal was a long and boring drive according to my husband. Smiley Nothing to see but snow and sky, I assume you won't be landing alone so it won't be as bad. Smiley

Thanks for the info. Again, the photo issue is still blurry but I shall make it clear before we leave.
Boring? hehe. Yes, I will not be alone, my wife and baby will be with me. Moreover, I have drove all over Saskatchewan because of my job - so that should be okay... know what to expect.

I hope you are enjoying the spring. Summer is beautiful in Regina but Saskatoon is better. hehe. I did my undergraduate at the U of R...

don't have the record of the tracking number in system, means Buffalo has not yet sent out, it has been 10 th days after they got our passports.

I just knew that we have to send photos to apply the PR cards again? why do i hear from somebody that it will automatically send to us one month after landing?
