Buffalo TRV , and the wait continues.

Hello , i wanted to create this post in order to check if anyone has gotten back their TRV's from Buffalo. I am an international student and i have finished my first year of post-secondary studies in Ottawa, i am waiting for my TRV  so i can go back to my homeland for a little while and come back to Canada. I have applied on the 27th of April , and the only message i got from the consulate in Buffalo is this...

Dear Madam / Sir,

Your application is in queue for review. An exact review schedule is not yet available. No further action is required by you at this time.

any posts from people in my situation would be appreciated.

Im in the same boat with you lol My flight is on July 1 but there is an announcement on the website said that
"The Visa Section of the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo will be closed to all walk-in temporary resident service from Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10 2011.

This closure is necessary to enable us to deal with an unprecedentedly large inventory of mail-in applications that have pushed our processing times for such applications to record lengths. Our goal is to use this time to eliminate this backlog completely."

I am on the same boat as you guys. I applied on the 29th of april to Fort Errie and there is no reply since then. I did not even get an email reply form them. Did u guys get your visa yet?

Hi i am in the same situation, I applied on April 14th, so they received my papers on April 18th. I tried to contact them lots of times, first time they told me that my application is in process and if i need my passport without visa they can send it to me, which is stupid...it's been over 2 months now, and finally today i received an email saying that
"We have recently sent you correspondence by regular mail to the address on your application form. We ask that you wait for the mail to arrive before requesting any further information.

Mail usually takes 2-4  weeks to arrive"
I guess it means they need some other information from me 
I already lost my tickets once, and now i bought tickets again for the end of august. I dont know what to do, but it's not the way emabassy should work. Its unacceptable!!!!

what do you mean by regular post. Did you not send them a return envelope ? Wow this is quite pathetic, The website says 30 days and its taking more than 2 months
