I AM REALLY NEW TO THIS SITE.....I NEED SOME HELP FROM YOU ALL....I AM WORKING AS A REGISTERED NURSE IN ALBERTA ,CANADA SINCE 2009 JULY,I APPLIED FOR MY PR THROUGH FEDERALSKILLED WORKER CATEGORY IN 2010 JANUARY TO SYDNY,GOT FILE (1) IN MARCH AND FILE MOVED TO BUFFALO.GOT(2) FILE NO IN MAY 2010,I GOT MARRIED IN 2011 JANUARY AND I ADDED MY SPOUSE TO MY APPLICATION IN 2011 MARCH ALL PAPERS SUBMITTED,I GOT THE MEDICAL REQUESTING PAPERS FOR BOTH OF US IN 2011 DECEMBER,BUT MY WIFE IS PREGNENT NOW, AND SHE CANT GO FOR TAKING X-RAYS AT THIS TIME,BUT SHE DID HER MEDICAL IN INDIA FOR HER WORKPERMIT IN 2011 JUNE.....WHETHER THAT CAN BE HELPFULL...OR IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET ATLEAST MY PR ALONE (FASTER)AT TIME...........PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS.......

hi,
I am living in alberta as well since almost 5 years,with my experience I can say just inform CIC (by email) about your wife's pregnancy.They will suggest you what exact test she need and as far as your application concerned they will process both of your applications together only, but won't fasten your application alone.
I know I am sure about this,if any exceptions are around plz let him know.

It was regular mail, the letter was dated Dec 19th 2011.
(so I put that date on the table below, but it was recived Dec 29th, 2011)
Wow, surprise Christmas gift was on the way, I found out only today.

I've just checked my Ecas status.
The date on the medical request letter and the date of 'start to process' in Ecas are the same. (dec 19th, 2011)
I guess as soon as your Ecas changed as process is started, you can assume Medical request is on its way to your mailbox at any time.
It took me 10 days to receive, maybe after this holiday season, I have a feeling that quite a few people will have great news.

Pregnant women can go for x-rays, actually thousands do every year with no known risk to the fetus, and the one required by cic is for chest so there is minimal exposure to the fetus, however if you let visa office know that you don't wish to do medicals now until after the delivery then they are usually fine with that. |
