This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.
This message contains important information regarding the continued processing of your application.
No additional documents are required at this time.
Medical forms and instructions will be mailed to you within the next several weeks. Do not enquire if you do not receive them immediately. Please proceed with your medical examinations as soon as possible after you have received the forms and provide proof that you have completed the medical examinations. Do not undergo medical examination until you have received the forms.
Right of Permanent Residence Fee
Every principal applicant, spouse or common law partner is required to pay a Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF).
The amount of the RPRF is $490.00 CAD (or $490.00 USD) .
If you have not already paid the RPRF, you may do so at this time.
The RPRF must be submitted in the form of a money order, certified cheque or bank draft payable to the "Canadian Consulate General".
The RPRF will be refunded if for any reason you do not immigrate to Canada.
Change of address
It is imperative that you inform the Detroit office of any change in your mailing address.
Note: Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line Change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Detroit.
Change in family status
You must notify us of any birth, marriage, engagement, divorce, death, or any other significant change in your marital or family composition. You can do so by email, mail or fax. Failure to advise us of these changes could result in delays in processing and possible refusal of your application.
We do not confirm receipt of mail or faxes. Please send information only once. Do not email, fax and mail the same information.
Regards,

Hi STILLHOPE,
You just send your request today so do expect an immediate answer.
Anyway, your brother expected to receive a letter from the new visa office with in the coming 2-3 month asking him to do his medicals. Then they will ask him the passport to issue the visa for him. This process may takes 3-5 month if every thing is going smoothly.
Thanks,
Ali

the letter from vo clearly states that medicals should not be done before they send
Forms. How do u justify that meds can be done in advance ?

I hope to join this thread very soon. Since the time I applied I was worried about buffalo delayed processing times but now I am confident that things are going to change for us.
