In my case - ECAS showed the transfer to LA office about 10 days later
That means ecas gets update from all VO. When I asked to Buffalo they said that don't trust the ecas. Buffalo is not using ecas to update the status |

I am living in Kansas, but I got an email from Buffalo Visa Office stating that my file has been transferred to NY Office on Oct 5th, 2011. Still ECAS showing Buffalo information on file. No where is showing any thing about file transferred details:
We received your application for permanent residence on December 21, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 18, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on February 24, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.
Any idea ? please share with me.

Congrats Vermas! That seems to be pretty fast--i.e., the transfer of the file to NY VO and processing, which is good. I wonder if they first reviewed the file for eligibility then transferred it to NY VO or the other way around! Any idea? |
