Hi everyone,
It is great to see that the review process is finally moving forward. Congratulations to all who got some good news.
After nearly a year of waiting without any update from Buffalo office I finally received an e-mail telling me that my file has been transferred to Detroit Visa Office. I really hope this means that request for medical reports will follow soon.

Here is my timeline:

JAN 25 2010 ------------ Application sent to Sydney VO
APRIL 9 2010 ----------- First AOR from Sydney VO
JUNE 28 2010 ----------- Full application sent to Buffalo VO
NOV 16 2010 ----------- Second AOR
OCT 26 2011 ----------- File transfer to Detroit VO

My E-CAS is still without change - "Received by the Visa Office".

Do you think I should be hopeful about receiving the request for medicals before Christmas?

I also received an email update that my file had been transferred to Detroit. The following is my timeline;

We received your application for permanent residence on December 9, 2009.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Detroit office. They are pending review.
 
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on February 24, 2010. The Detroit office may contact you.
 
We transferred your application to the Detroit office on October 26, 2011. The Detroit office may contact you.

This process sure takes a long time. I am hoping that I don't need to get yet another WP.  Roll Eyes
