Vermas,
I applied in Aug-2009 and got the first AOR from Sydney,NS on Sep-30,2009. My file was also transfered to Detroit office recently.

Need your inputs on what stage of processing the following indicates:
"Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 20, 2010"
Does this mean they had just started processing? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

An assessment has been completed on this application and the officer has determined an interview will not be required. This application was forwarded for medical issuance.
You should receive your medicals shortly, within the following 2-4 weeks.
You may get medically examined in the USA .
The only remaining requirements in this application are : Medical results x 4 , Right of Permanent Residence fee x 2 and evidence of funds.
The medical package will provide instruction on how to forward this office all of the required documents/fees.

Now I need some guidance, 1. Can I send the demand draft and POF right away, I guess yes but will it give me any benefit as I'm travelling to NY for medical on 3rd Dec. So I can hand them over personnally (saves courier cost  ) 2. Will it be possible to get the visa stamping in the same trip, again I am doing medical on Monday 5th Dec and the results will be forwarded to them immediately. How can I make it possible, I do not want to send passports by courier to my Immigration lawyer in Toronto and then he send them to NY. While return again it comes to Toronto then to me. 3. My lawyer's address is currently my communication address in my file.. do you suggest changing it to my current address Thanks in advance. |

Thanks Moein bhai, Actually I sent a query requesting them to allow me an advance medical in my forthcoming trip to NY.. they sent this response.. which is more then what I was expecting the cost of medical in Bermuda is way to high 3000 for 2 adults and 2 kids... Now my target is to get passport stamped in the same trip .. that will save lot of cost. .. let's see if there is any way out. Regards, infyanup at gee mail |

It seems NY and Detroit are moving faster.
I have not heard anything yet from Los Angeles.
Mine got transfered to LA - October 5th. ECAS still shows the same and I have not received any mail yet.
Anyone whose application got transferred to LA - received the MR?
