Do I send my original passport to Buffalo? I am visiting in Canada and would like Work permit sent here when it's processed.

I am in Canada visiting, being told by all sources to mail in App to Buffalo, they send me a letter and from there I go to the border.

You don't have to if you have all the paper work and you are an American citizen. "Flagpole", that is drive to the nearest border and bring all your supporting documents, plus the $150.00 and get your WP from there. But if you live far from the border then by all means mail your application.

Ok I have decided to go to the Border at Fort Erie and try to get my TWP. I have everything I need and I don't see why i have to mail things in to Buffalo and wait God knows how long.

I hope they help me! I am IN Canada and would like not to have to cross the border to the USA .. I was afraid I would have to exit Canada and re-enter to get my TWP.


I read somewhere that there is a UTurn that will take you back towards Canada where the Immigration office is to get the TWP.
