I hold a US green card and live and work in Chicago.I got married in my home
country last year and right now she is stuck back in my home country as she
has to wait many years to join me.

I was wondering if its possible to apply for her Canadian immigration from
US,maybe that would make her immigration quicker.
Does anyone have experience or knowledge about it.I mean what is the average processing time at Buffalo Office for independent skilled class immigration?

Can someone shed  light on it?

I'm a little confused as to how Canadian immigration fits into the picture, assuming you and your wife are from a country other than Canada or the US.  If you're thinking about her applying to immigrate to Canada under the Skilled Worker class so that it would then be easier for her to immigrate to the US and join you - I don't know for sure.  The normal timelines for SW processing through Buffalo is about 2 years, I think.

Married Sept '06 after 4 yr LDR.  Applied via outland ap in March 2007 -  refused Jan '08 due to inadmissible adult "dependent child".  Appeal filed Jan '08; still waiting for resolution.

HI there.  I was denied Humanitarian & compassionate Act; however, we appealed the process and won april 14, 2008.  The judge said this should have been an open and shut case.  She didn't know why we were even there in court. the lawyer said it will take 2-3 months for the file to transfer to Buffalo, NY then we will receive a letter to advise us what to do.  So far we have heard nothing and its over 3 months.  Does anyone know how long it takes to hear from them AFTER the approval?

Thank you in advance.......................
