I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration.
Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

Got to know that there is definitely a preference(read faster processing)for candidates having a job(or an offer) in Canada.

Don't know how much truth is there in it..

Unfortunately it seems it has become easier to get US visa(since there are hardly or no new IT jobs in US)however getting a Canadian work visa is much difficult.
Alternatively getting a GC is lot more difficult(unless you are lucky to have applied in a premium category) than getting a PR in Canada..Sad

cheers!

Just wanted to check if any of the Buffalo applicants has any updates since the time we left this discussion..

Rupesh-Was just going through some fo the old posts and got to know that Buffalo has not processed any application since Dec 2008.Is that correct-any idea?If this is correct, they are sitting on huge bunch of pending stuff...Sad

It looks like there is some movement recently.
People who applied in Jan and Feb 2009 started to get some letters from CIC - mostly requests for additional documents though (including myself). But there are few applicants ontrackitt from jan 2009 who got their medicals. Things are moving, slowly, but in the right direction Smiley.

Was going through some discussions..

Seems there has been some activity for folks who applied through Buffalo after Jan-Feb 2009...

Based on the data, does anyone has idea  which month is currently under process..

cheers!
