BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

I have hardly seen anyone getting PPR lately and I believe the files are being transferred to Ottawa in a group. Once they get transferred we will see lots of people getting PPR all of a sudden...

I believe those who are in process, it means that day they eligibility was entered as passed. Its just about time when your file would get transferred and PR would be issued...

I just got my GCMS Notes... In short, if Buffalo wouldn't have closed down I would have gotten PPR much earlier. Oh Well, it say PR - FINAL REVIEW and I have been assigned a particular group also. I believe that those people in my group have all their checks completed and are only being transferred to Ottawa for issuing PPR.. I went in process in May and my file according to GCMS is still in Buffalo, but, I inquired with my MP 1 week ago and from Ottawa it was found out that it actually is in transit. It means the entire group is being transferred and that is why there is a delay in transferring. Once transferred, I think PPR is the only thing left.

I think it should be done transferring end of July, so hopefully I am expecting something between July and August. I am going to request GCMS every month to keep me updated ...

A lot of people are concerned about their statuses and it actually has notes from Visa Officer also which might help you guys in understanding if anything else is needed. It is a good idea in getting GCMS Notes!

Which section of ur GCMS says about final review? I don't see such thing on my GCMS and my file went to IN PROCESS in October 2O11 and still waiting, you already have seen my GCMS in " application forwarded  ack to buffalo again" discussion group.

here are the notes in descending order (most recent first)

1. 2012/05/08: Email address corrected
2. 2012/05/08: Request for status (i sent email to Catherine on this date, she said my file will go to Ottawa for Background check).
 3. 2011/12/12: Label:Adm (cutted off text) and Text field is blank.
4. 2012/12/03: Pakistan PC for subject;no record (I was missing my wife's Police Clearance certificate and i sent them back in Nov: 2011)
5. 2011/11/25: Received check (RPRF).
 6. 2011/10/12: Passed Eligibility.
7. 2011/10/11: Additional document; spouse PC required.

That's all for notes. I already paid RPRF so i don't see that note or something like ready for visa.

Do you notice, repetition and no:11 says Security Passed for myslef where as all other related activities above it for myself regarding security are blank. Did you got kind of same GCMS

In the first page under Application, there will be a place for Sub Category and under that there will be a Group Name. That is where it will say PR - FINAL REVIEW.

In the first page, whats the assignment due date? Dont get confused by IN PROCESS. It means different for different VO. For Buffalo, usually, when they put in process it is when they are about to issue PR. For Ottawa, it usually is when they issue AOR or documents were requested as in your case.

Due Date under application assessment is 03 March 2012. GCMS was printed on 6th of June 2012..

Any one has idea what does Group Name: PR - Waiver means?

I am going to order GCMS through a friend (CA citizen) in CA . Here are main points I am going to do. pls advise me if anything wrong.

1) I am in the US, some how I cannot pay $5.00 online. I will ask the friend to write a check and mail to the address as indicated
2) one form filled by my friend: IMM5563E.
3) TWO copies of IMM5475E, filled out by my wife and me, dated and signed. I will scan these completed forms and email them to my friend, print out.
4) My friend encloses his CA passport copy to prove the citizenship and eligible as my representative.
5) my friend put above together and mail out. (If he can $5.00 online, I will ask him to email everything to ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca )

If you application due date has already been passed 3 months and you havent heard anything I would contact them asking about the status! Contact your MP. Is your wife a PR?

Once you have applied, after around 2 weeks email them stating your file number and ask them when your GCMS Notes are due. They should provide you with a date which means that your application was successful and just wait to get the notes.

speaking of "file number", you mean my UCI number? should not they send out report in 30 day as law required? I have to ask them the due date of report?

I have to pay $5.00 because my GCMS is requested under the information act, which applicable to me because i am not in CA, and the only way I get GCMS is through Access information act which always charges $5.00.

You dont need to ask them and they should send you after 30 days. What I did was ask them when my due date was so it ensured that a request has correctly been received and I know when to expect them. You dont need to do it, if you dont want.

I would give them 2 months since your file got transferred, so July 9th should be a good time to expect an update from Ottawa.
