Depends. However these days I see Detroit office using e-mail more. If you had provided an email address they may send one via that. Good Luck! Hi guys,

I have received my passport back last Wednesday (May 30) and I completed my landing process on Thursday. It took two and half years to get everything done.

Dear mr-sam,
Could you tell me when did your E-cas change to IP?
I have been tranferred to Detroit for one month but my E-cas still stick at "RBVO".
I have the similar Timeline as u have, amber365. My file was transferer to Detroit on 18/Apr/2012 and i havent got any notice (ECAS Or letter) from VO. Have to wait until August then i would send a enquiry letter to Detroit. Keep contact! |

Why would you wait till August to contact them?
I e-mailed Buffalo 3 weeks ago (before they closed) .. there was no reply. I emailed Detroit (just for fun then!) and they replied 2 days later saying... we just got your file and we are processing and have accepted my new address.
I feel like mailing Detroit my updated degree, new work details, etc...
Any suggestions?

The reason why i wanna contact the Detroit VO in August is that they will process the case at most three months after they receive the transferred files, which means they will process my case before the end of July. If i still got no notice, i would contact them in August. And its good news for u that u are told that they are processing ur case and accept ur new address. Good Luck and let's keep contact! |

Thanks for your wishes. One more question for you, brother 365. Have you noticed any change in ECAS(online-check application status) before your file is processing? I mean whether your address in ECAS disappeared or you cannot log in the ECAS system. In the forum, i find some people will have these phenomenon when their cases start to be processed. Thanks. |
