Detroit VO is the fastest VO in US. (at least to me)...

Not sure how long it may take to process ur file, but get to know whats happening thru GCMS \ CAIPS.

I think doing medicals would speed-up the process, as long as your DMP has all other forms.

Regards,
Kummy

Hi guys,

How much time they give you when you get the PPR? Do you have to submit it within a specific time?

I got a medical request today but I am going back home from June 15 to July 15 so I just wanted to know what will happen in case I got the PPR while I am still back home?

Thank you in advance.

You should be okay.

Usually PR visa is given until 1 year of your Medicals completion date.

If you are gone for just one month, it shouldn't affect your process timeline in anyway.

Thanks Kummy.

When the VO asks you to send them the passport, how much time they give to you to submit your passport to them? Do you have to submit it within 30 days once you receive the notice?

My concern is if they asked me to submit my passport while I was away and the deadline was before I come back.

Hi mr-sam,

Don't worry about it.

First of all, it takes a month or two or even longer to get PPR and it will be sent to your e-mail.

Second of all, they don't specify the dead-line of submiting your passport. They encourage you to submit as soon as posible to allow you adequate time to prepare for your move to Canada.

Hi All,

I sent my passport to the Detroit office one month ago. My status on e-case has changed to "a decision has been made." yesterday. When should I expect my passport back?

Honestly, I have been checking on the Canadapost's website every day.

As far as I understand,  your passports must be arriving in a day or two.

Hi e.sam,

My application was received by Sydney on June 2010 and then to Buffalo on January 2011.

On April 23/2012, the file was transferred to Detroit & I got the medial exam request on May 23rd.

Hope this will help.

Hi guys,

I need to know one more thing about the medical exam. On the back of the medical form, they asked to bring 2 passport size photographs but they didn't mention the dimentions. The standard passport photo dimention is 50X70 mm but as you know, the photo size for the PR application is 35X45 mm so please let me know which size should I take to the doctor?

Thanks!
