I hope Janaki, Lanied and me are next to receve medical requests. Our files got transferred on Oct 26th - a month ago, which is usually how long it takes. The wait is exhausting,

Here's hoping it comes soon. My Lawyer told me that they were out of visas for the year. So we may have to wait until January

What a wait!! wait wait wait and wait and wait and wait, one more wait.........

Lanied, did you get any indication from your lawyer about the medical request? Honestly, i didn't expect to receive the visa before the end of this year but i was hoping it would happen early in 2012. In the meantime, Detroit Visa Office should proceed with the review of our files and send us the medical requests. I really hope they will keep the process going in December and we get some updates soon.

My lawyer had me do mine last year to be prepared for it so it's been in and ready a long time now. I'd agree with your theory though, I think we'll see action in early 2012. Here's hoping on that front anyhow

Congratulations Lanied! It is good to know that files are being reviewed. I just checked my E-CAS and there is no change. Still the last line just tels me about the transfer to Detroit on Oct 26th.

Are you in Canada already? And did you say that your medicals are also done in advance?

I am in USA and have not done my medicals. That would lead me to believe that visa offices give the priority to the applicants currently in Canada and that doing medicals in advance can really speed up the process.

I'd agree. I've been in Canada on work permits for the last 4 years.
