Hi all,
I am a newbie in this forum. I have been reading the topics on the Forum last couple of weeks and already got lot of information. Thanks to all the individuals sharing their experience and knowldege in this area here. This is my first post on the forum and need some expert assistance.

I sent my initial application to CIC on June 2nd 2010 (I was lucky to send it just a few days before the rules changed)
I received a email from CIC on Nov 4th 2010 asking me to send the full application to Buffalo, NY in 120 days.
I sent my full application reached the Buffalo Visa office on Feb 22, 2011 (within the 120 days deadline)

The question i have is (are):
I haven't recieved any acknowledgement (either email or postal mail) that they recevied the documents. I have a confirmation from UPS (Courier service) that somebody signed and received the documents at Visa office. What is the normal process that would happen after the documents are received at the Buffalo Visa office? Do they send some kind of acknowledgement? I checked the status online and it shows Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete. can anybody provide any estimate on how long I should wait to receive an acknowledgement from the Visa office about my case after the documents are sent?

I am waiting for the AOR for almost 28 weeks, but of course it is not a rule.

You should wait approximately 5 month to recieve 2AOR.
I sent my full application to Buffalo on 6th april and they send me 2AOR by email on 17 th september.

Nowadays, Buffalo moves slower than it used to. I don't know what's going on there...

So, based on these posts - I understand I can forget about this for about 6 months before even thinking about the status of the application. Is that understanding correct?

Depends,I will say 4-5 months, maybe earlier.They promise to be faster now then before.Be cool brother Cool
