All i can say is please be confident that they will take around 16/17 months to process your file from the day you recieved your acknowledgement letter from Visa Office...

The time line is pretty self explanatory on the CIC website as well..we see on CIC website thats the time line VO will follow...for Buffalo its written as 17 months to process 80% of cases based on the year 2010..on the basis of complete application package...

for me it took around 18.5 month from the time sydney acknowldge me with first AOR and 16 month and 1 week from the time Buffalo vo acknowledge me with 2nd AOR..

A senior on this forum also confirmed my thought earlier in another thread...Seniors please correct me still if i am wrong..

Can any one help me answer my question, answers might be based on experience/forum tracking but its ok to reply

Is it 17 months from...
1. What is shows online "We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on March 2010"
2. Or is it from the day we received the 2nd AOR. ~ Oct 2010

Mr.Professional1 says we should count 17.months from the date when Sydney transfer our application to Buffalo.

Mr.Shahadut109 says we should count 17.month from the date when Buffalo send us 2AOR.

I really dont know who is right? Huh Huh Huh

Processing Time is based on receipt of complete application package as per the following link:

Last time CIC updated these processing timelines on February 22, 2011. Agree these may not hold good in the current time. In my case it has been 14 months since Buffalo received complete application. I have'nt received MI yet. I can't see my case being completed in the next 3 months. Still hoping against hopes.

anumatri,

Considering the recent developments at Buffalo VO, my guess is that you should receive your PR (not MI) in 24 months from the day Buffalo received your complete documents.

My status went to In process(did not check in the last 2 weeks).

When I inquired couple of months back they responded saying 64weeks of queue waiting time at buffalo  ... .  It took 9 month since I sent full application to Buffalo.
