Totally agree!
I haven't even received the 2nd AOR yet. It's been 40 weeks! I know many people who applied on later dates got their AORs way ahead of me.
I am getting frustrated.

I know how you feel. Maybe you should send an email. In my case it took 5 months, which way less than yours. It was supposed to be even faster, like 2 months.

Hey guys,

I have a question, as i am on h1 over here today some one came in person to my office from some addmin.. agency (well i was not in the office ) and then he left but called latter in the afternoon and the lady on front desk answered the questons that yes he works here and his salary is this much and all kind of stuff. well my question is that will it be from USICS(homeland) or from canada i am very confused b'cas lady did not ask where he was from.

Do they do background check personally or by phone or it might be really USICS as i just got my 3rd extention for h1b.

Any idea on this topic.

Hey guys,

I think today is my bad day i had ordered (second time ) CAIPS on 12th July and got reply today and there is no change at all every thing same as it was before BFD 06/24/2011, so there was no point of ordering CAIPS secound time b'cas there is no change in 1st or 2nd so what should i understand that this office has never started any process on my application or the CAIPS are giving false information.

and today i got verfication from USICS every thing went smooth by i was not in the office i dont know if that is a problem, he questioned my manager and she ans. every thing.

(MY TIMELINE IS UP TO DATE )
anyone has any idea for this topic.

I double checked again if it is late this year.  Unfortunately that is next year (either early or late).  Means all our applications prior June 2010 will be processed only in 2012.  This is confirmed by my attorney Canadavisa.com Campbell cohen.

It seems American green card processing is much faster than Canada.  At least we get the 3 years Extn with 140 approval. Normally labour and 140 takes between 6-12 months.  I wasted 18 month with this stupid process and missed US priority dates.  I hope this is a good lesson.

i just had a conversation with my lawyer... shes saying buffalo processing is slow on purpose, not a lack of resources.. its a way of reducing overall immigration numbers in canada without having to pass legislation ..
Really?
why are they then processing post 6/26 applications without delay ?

But why only buffalo? Many many people applied (pre-626) from other office, they got MR recently... For example, Hong Kong office...

You're right Eliza it feels like Buffalo has been trusted with the responsibility to block all applications except those whose professions are in high demand. Ridiculous!

But why only buffalo? Many many people applied (pre-626) from other office, they got MR recently... For example, Hong Kong office...
