@ vermas did you get the CAIPS note? Could you share what you found out?

Look at New Delhi VO. They have hired 24 temporary staff to clear the back log.. Why can't Buffalo work on the same line??

I am extending my study permit second time.
I've been here since 2007, Began AEO process in 2009 Summer.
Two year later.. I am still not an immigrant.

I am spending a lot of money to study and to support myself.
By taking longer than expected, my financial loss is much bigger than expected.

Hopefully everything will pay me back.

Everyone here, at least we got tne 2nd AOR already,
Just need one more step done. sooner or later.

I look back those days that I had no clue how to find an employer who would apply AEO for me.
I was so happy to get AEO approved.

Now I am in much better and advnaced stage,
I try to appreciate what I have for now,
thinking about all the people who dont even have an opportunity to apply for PR.
thinking about myself previously crying over being rejected by employers.

Hope everyone can have peace in mind and wait for the happy day together.
God bless you all!

Disco

You are right disco. I immigrated in March 2008, and got my first full time job in July 2009 so I applied for FSW2 right after. Now I'm with my 4th employer still in 2nd AOR in-progress RBVO no details... I visit home every december and I hate paying for a visa just to re-enter... it's just silly and expensive! Now I just got my work permit renewed for 3 years but I'll very likely be a landed immigrant sooner... one last visa I guess. Hang in there guys!

As per CIC regulations (OP 6 Manual), the file can not be transferred because the applicant has changed the country. They transfer the files only if it helps in the integrity of the program (security, background, educational, employment verifications because of the local knowledge). So, I am stuck with bloody Buffalo...

My application for CAIPS reached CIC-Ottawa on 8 June 2011 but am still waiting for notes. My relative living in Toronto called up the call centre number. The automated answering machine asked him to call back on Thursday or Friday as these are lean days. Will definately share as soon as I get these notes.

Hi Vermas,

I got my Caips after 2.5 months. It is almost nothing that can help us. My BF'D on it is Aug 2th, but I am sure that they did not do any action on my file. Since my local MP contacted Buffalo on Aug 5th, and the buffalo respond these applications are in line for evaluation by immigration officer, several more months from now possibly this action will happen.

So BFD on caips is nothing.

I also agree with disco! Nice one buddy!   Grin Grin

My work permit will expire in March 2013 so hopefully my PR will be issued before that.

All the best to all of us!   Wink

Hi Moein,

Do not take it otherwise however I would like others opinion whether they also think that BFD are not honored?

i think its more like when ur file came up on aug 2 they gave it a new bfd and nothing else which means they'll look at it in a couple of months .. thats what i noticed from my caips notes .. bfd keeps getting pushed forward till they are ready to process it

I don't think there's any hope of pre-June 2010 applicants this year. Even next year, it will depend on the job market. With the current economic scenarios around, there's not much hope I think. They are likely to keep our applications in the cold storage indefinitely. Of course, this is my personal observation.

I guess it is not like they are processing our files "slowly", it is more like they have pulled the plug on the pre-June 26 applicants. My status is still RBVO, not even the stupid "In Process".

i dont think they've pulled the plug.. i went on trackitt and they seem to be systematically working on the pre june 26 queue along with post june 26 files.. we just have to be patient i guess.. all we can hope for is the reduced quota tihs year, means our backlog gets cleared within the next year..
