This is what I got from Buffalo:

So, i think ppl before march 2010 can expect some movement in the next couple of months! Thats good news...Good luck ppl...

CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of applications throughout the year.

We do not anticipate that we will begin to process federal skilled worker applications from March 2010 during the current calendar year.

Hi All,
I came to Canada 6 years back and applied for Immigration under Skilled Worker Class Category and my Immigration was refused because I was short by 1 point.  According to the assessment I had 66 points instead of 67 points.  I again applied for Immigration in 2007 and this time it was refused because the Detroit Immigration officer invited me for an interview in 2008 and rejected my application because I don't have enough work experience and I didn't had Indian Tax forms.  In 2008 I went to George Brown College and studies HR and finally in 2009 I landed up in HR with Recruitment Agency under Post Graduate Work Permit.  I applied under LMO and after receiving positive LMO, I received the 2 years of my work permit.  In 2010 Feb, I applied for my immigration under Federal Class category and haven't heard any news, the last I heard from Canadian High Commission in September, 2010 and received my 2nd AOR.  Now, my work permit is going to expire in Jan 2012 and I don't think so, I would be able to get my paper work until then.  The other problem is that even though my employer is willing to sponsor me but under the new rules of LMO and work permit - he didn't pay the other employees he sponsored in past two years the same wages as he offered at the time of LMO.  The reason been that the company went through recession and lost lot of revenues.  However, since it's a recruitment company I was able to keep my job and started working for a client.

Can someone help and advise me accordingly in regards to Immigration waiting time and Work permit application process?

I had not received any communication from Buffalo office, but my file is also transferred to LA office as of 28th September 2011.

Can anyone advise how the medical requests are received? Do they send by mail or to the email address?

Dear Friends,

New quarterly data is released (Q1 and Q2 untill end of June 2011).
It gives little information for Pre June 2010 applicants. It has no specific information of how many visas issued under MI1(Pre June 2010 applicants) and MI2 (post june 2010 applicants) category.
It has been more than a year since MI2 (Post june 2010) came to existance and lot of visas have been issued under this category yet no specific information for this category.
If they do so then real information about MI1 applicants (Pre June 2010) will come out in public domain so they clubbed the data for MI1 and MI2 to avoid Pre June 2010 applicants irony.

A perfect example of how CIC wants to provide data without being specific so that they can hide information without being responsible and they can get away with public outcry and pressure.

Conservatives have started to show their real intentions.

If you are FSW2 with unlimited job offer and you are working in Canada, they will not stop your file. because 10000 CAP in only for FSW1.

By now most of you have probably received the reply from Buffalo stating that they do not anticipate to start working on 2010 pre-June applications in the current calender year. That being said, from the email I get the implication that there is "no guarantee" they will start working on it in 2012. Is there anything we can do for it except for waiting? What are our rights?

On a different topic, if I want to apply under a different category, do I need to send them a new file with all the required documents?

Thanks all,

E. K.
