bringing CASH over 10,000 CAD in canadian port of entry

Hello people,

I would like to know if it is ok for international student to bring Cash which is 10,000+ CAD to a canadian port of entry?
would that be a violation of any canadian rule ?
if this money is declared, is it ok ?
