I could use some guidance:

I am a US citizen with a positive LMO and a job offer in Toronto. I plan on driving to a port of entry from Toronto to process my work permit, but now I'm afraid of trying to get my car into Canada with me. I am in the settlement portion of a divorce, and the registration/lien are still in the ex's name, even though the settlement says I get the car. Will I need forms from US customs to take the car in, even though I'm not importing it? Will they and/or Canada's border agents give me a hard time for the name/divorce issue?

I'm so scared of getting turned around when my new job is waiting for me across the border...

thanks for any advice.
