Hi Guys,I hav a question .m in alberta n i got my PR confimmation letter,now i hav to either cross the border or I can book an appointment in edmonton If I chose not to cross the border.but I tried caling immigration call center no.sso many time but I could't get hold of them.Now I decided to cross the MONTANA(US)border.my question is do i need any appointment or I can just go ther n cross the border.one more question ,I dont hav US VISA .I dont knw wether I can cross without having US visa..plz help me with ur suggestion.everyone is welcome to advise n will b appreciated..thanks..

You can go to any border crossing with immigration services. Most of the large crossings will be able to process your PR landing, but you should check and make sure you go one that's big enough. You don't need an appointment, but you do need to go there at times they provide immigration services:

You do not need a US visa. You just drive down to the border, and tell the US agent that you want to turn around and re-enter Canada instead of entering the USA. They'll direct you back to the Canadian side, and once there you tell them you are here to land as a PR and show them your paperwork.
