hey everyone,
Should I include the original boarding passes etc or can I just photocopy them as proof of relationship??

I will be sending photocopies.
If I have an interview I'll probably bring a pile of relationship evidence including the originals, but it seems safer to mail photocopies (so if they get lost, you still have the originals) especially since it's not an official document, but only proof of relationship.

They say " send originals etc they will be sent back"...so are they referring to everything (Proof) or just the photos??

Only documents specified as such on the checklist must be originals.  Everything else can be photocopies.

We didn't receive ANYTHING back from our application... but then I was sure to only send copies of everything (which I scanned into the computer and arranged on 8x11 sheets with comments).  I didn't want to risk not getting my originals back (photos, boarding passes, cards, etc).

We didn't get anything back either. I sent copies of everything we sent (except the couple of originals required- police certificates, medical report, etc.) I figured if they needed to see the original of something, they would probably require an interview and I could just bring it then. But what we sent was just fine...no need for the original. Plus if you send a copy on a letter sized paper, you can add a note that says more detail about the trip, if desired.

It all depends on VO.  I did send in mine originals and i got all of them back. If you are not sure then just make a copy and add details of your attached proofs

We sent only copies for proof of relationship (boarding passes, cards, hotel receipts, etc..)
