birth certificates with late entry

It is described in London visa office related required documents that normally only those birth certificates are accepted whose entry was made shortly after birth.
But in my and mrs case birth entry was not made on birth. So we both have to get birth certificates with late enrollement on current date. Or we have to pay bribe (extra money) to get birth certificate with entry made on previous dates.
Do visa office reject birth certificate with late entry?
What should we do?

It doesn't matter. I submitted my birth certificate with current date and accepted. Same with my wife.

Hi
I did the same and have not seen any problem, I submitted my documents in Sep 2010. Just obtain the birth certificate and submit it.
