Please wirte a self declairation along with certificate stating the reason of not having the original with place of the birth,DOB,and atleast a paren name.....

yes ommbhai.....gone through it....u r right....i just want to say that proper explanation letter one has to send if BD is not available....as i told u in last post  in my friend case he might have not provided explanation letter.

and ofcourse David cohen post are 100 % reliable ...even i talked with him on telephone in past for knowing quebec application process.

Hi all

 Checklist asks for birth certificates.Are these compulsory for principal applicant and spouse. will the passport copy not be considered as a proof of date of birth.can the application get rejected without the birth certificates.
Im an Indian applying with London VO .

Do i need to write an explanation regarding the non -submission of birth certificate and that the passport may be considered as proof of date of birth.

Its good if you can provide Birth Certificate.
Otherwise write a cover letter expalining why dont you have BC and provide maximum proof of DOB i.e Passport,Driving licence, Educational certificate, National identity card if any.
