Hi All,

My sibling sent me his birth certificate that is notaried, but it is still in a foreign language, not in English.
1.Will I have to translate it into English and ask for notarizing again?
2.There is a difference between the date of birth on the birth certificate and his passport. I asked him why, he said when he was in a refugee camp with our aunt in Thailand, our aunt declared to the authorized officers the date is now different from the date on the birth certificate. What will I do with this issue?

Please give me your advice. Thanks

1.yes
2.either change birth certificate or passport
wich means that you have to have correctness b/w the
birth certificate and the passport.
There will be surely a certain way to do it and i advise you
to consult people you trust outside of this forum too...it won't hurt you!
hope this help

Dear Sir,

My original place of birth is Dubai with some original date like First Jan 1981. Just after 1 year of my birth, my Parents along with me moved to Karachi Pakistan. My complete education and all of my official documents are generated from Karachi-Pakistan Like Matriculations, Undergraduate Certificates, Passport, National ID Card) etc. All my documents have place of birth as Dubai. I have my Pakistan Passport where My place of birth is also mention as Dubai but my date of birth mention in Pakistani passport is different (like 3rd April 1981) then the original date of birth mention in Dubai Birth certificate. Fifteen years back my Birth certificate was also lost in Karachi. I didn't regenerate my birth certificate since then. Right now I am citizen of Pakistan with my valid Pakistani National ID Card and Passport (Dubai as Birth Place but date of birth is 3rd April 1981) along with all my education document with this birth date.I am applying as FSWC for Canada. Do i need to provide my original Birth Certificate of Dubai with actual original date that is First Jan 1981?

Can i provide affidavite ,attested with some notary or official laywer with the birth date mention in Pakistani passport and place as Dubai ?

can you please suggest what can i do?

All my documents are with one date 3rd April 1981 but my original birth certificate is with different date from Dubai that I have already lost,  whose copy is with me only

i am not a lawyer nor an immigration officer but according to what you just said all i see is to just ask 4 a duplicate of your birth certificate wich will bear the date in your passport. the best thing to do ( in my understanding!) is to go see pakistanese authorities w/ your passport and tell them that you have lost your birth certificate and you would like to know the path to follow in order to get one.they will come out w/ some light.

sorry i could'nt help you otherwise ...make a long story short ...you've lost your birth certificate, you need one right now ...what you should do?

good luck

can you please suggest what can i do?

My birth and marriage certificates are issued in june 2010. Can I use them to send them with my application for FSW1 in july 2011 or they are outdated after one year passes from the day they are issued?

I never read anything about expiration dates on those documents. Only on PCC's. I had mine from my marriage issued when I got married and I translated them in 4-5 copies last year. I used them for my application and I'm pretty sure that it's fine by CIC.

Marriage and Birth Certificates do not expire Smiley Even if the person dies birth certificate proves that that person was born on such and such date.
