My wife gas not yet obtained the birth certificate (born in Delhi, India) and we are anxious to submit the application for immigration.  It says in the form that a proof of birth or birth certificate.  Does anyone have experience if a proof of birth like Passport copy and or Hoghschool certificate or other will be acceptable ?  Thanks for your help folks.

My husband also applied through ND and did not have a birth certificate. He submitted a notarized affidavit confirming his date of birth instead which was accepted.
