Hello friends,

I am preparing full documents to send to VO. A problem is that I need original birth certificate of my wife (I am the primary applicant), but I only have a copy. The original certificate was misplaced over the years, and it seems like getting the birth certificate again is not a straightforward process or in other words it is not possible.

So would it be all right if I send a copy of the birth certificate of my wife? Please advise. Thanks.

Notarise it and write this thing in a cover  letter that you can't get original.

Thanks

You can make a affidavit.

Hi,

I didnt submit birth certificates at all... my lawyer told me to submit school certificates instead of Birth cert... so i dont think this would make that much of an issue if you send notorized copy ..
