hello all

I am from india, I don't have birth certificate ,if I take birth certificate from indian consulate here in USA, will CIC accept that certificate ?what are the options for me?

Getting from Consulate or directly from India. Both will work. But, it will take at least 45 days. You may have to wait for it.

Do we have to provide the Original Birth certificate or just a copy? Also did it need to be notorized or just a regullar photo copy ?

Just go to Nearest Indian Consolate and show them your original passport and they will give you in few hours.

I went to NY consolate and got in 2 hrs.

if you send by mail then it will take time and you have to send your passport for it.
