Can someone please tell how to get birth certificate from Indian Consulate?

indian consulate in which country? the process is usually standard and simple. you will have to fill the form and pay the required fee. and after a few days, you can go to collect your birth certificate. you can phone them before you go to know of the supporting documents you have to submit with your application for birth certificate.

As far as i know, you can get Birth Certificate from an Indian Consulate if you are outside India.
I applied for it in US and got it in 1 day, its a pretty simple process at the Indian Consulate New York.
But if you are in India you might want to contact your local municipal office or hospital where your were born.

I think Yarla7bh is right. If you are out of India only then you can obtain it from Indian Consu. otherwise one has to obtain it from muncipality office.
