Hi , im just getting confused.. i have read in one of the posts here that a person was not approved as a sponsor for his conjugal partner because at the time when he himself applied as PR he did not declare as family member his conjugal partner, but based on what i understood from his story they were just bf/gf at that time he applied for PR... i started to wonder if it the same thing will happen to me, although i will be sponsoring for my spouse, at the time that I applied for PR , i did not include him as conjugal coz we were just bf/gf at that time... it got me confused..  but im thinking that my hubby couldnt have been considered my conjugal partner at that time coz nothing was stopping us from getting married or living together, is that correct? just wanna validate this...  any thoughts? thanks

It should be OK. It is normal to first be boyfriend/girlfriend - CIC won't even consider the usual boyfriend or girlfriend to be conjugal partners. They have to have joined their financial affairs, etc., as much as possible first. This wouldn't apply to the usual dating partners.
Make sure you do not say you were living together when you applied for PR and after, before you landed, though.

another question though, we got engaged in 2009, but we did not live together. landed as PR in January 2011, and got married June 2011. still no problem with this right?  sorry Smiley just making sure everything is smooth as silk with our case Smiley thanks again!
