Hi tati
My wife was pregnant (4 or 5 month) when she applied for a student visa but she didnt mention anything about it when she went to the embassy. and she got it
You can give a try and you have to hide your pregnancy when you take the plane
The big problem you can have is the health insurance in Canada. If you dont get your PR before the delivery date it will be very costly
Good luck

Yeah tati this the problem, if you come with a visit visa you dont have health assurance. Be sure if with your husband work the assurance cover the pregnency fee. Ken bade adem visa zyara la marte and as you know she is pregnant. I call the hospital here they told me its cost 14000$ and if something happen and your wife stay more than 2 night its 7000$ the night. So this is why ma adamet!

What I know is every Canadien or PR has a health insurance which covers hospitalisation, exams and doctor consultation. This insurance is delivered through a publicly funded health care system and not through the work.
What your husband can get from his job is an additional insurance like dental insurance, Physiotherapy and perhups other things.
I remember that I called the RAMQ (regie assurance maladie Quebec) to ask if my insurance could cover the pregnancy of my wife and the answer was No as she is not a PR. for that reason she applyed for a student visa and she had insurance from university which covered only 10 000 $ but it was enought as she got only one day of hospitalisation. My insurance covered the babies as they are canadian
One day at hospital costed 3600 $ + doctor fees 1000 $

Sorry if my informations are negative and I hope it is helpful for you

Best luck

Hi tati00, we were thinking to do the same thing but I am Hesitant and Concerned because
I knew from my friend that they will stamp on the passport "refused" if they do not accept to give the visit visa, and that maybe cause a problem in landing Angry .

about the pregnancy setuation tati00 they will know that you are pregnant from the medical test ...
kamen your husband's income should be at least 28000$ per year.

good luck !!!!!!

No Lele, income is not relevant in Quebec for family sponsorship, it is different than other provinces. When it comes to the pregnancy, I think she shouldn't tell them if they don't ask, but she shouldn't equally lie if they asked. I don't think it would be a problem for them if she is pregnant because she has to pay for the delivery so that could somewhere be a plus for her to come back to Lebanon, enno she can say that her doc is (is she was asked) and she has her full cover here, but most importantly her family and mom which can be a reason to show more ties to lebanon. It all depends on how far in her pregnancy she is. I think you should try, the cost is not extreme and the refusal of a visitor visa is irrelevant to Landing with a PR visa. Good Luck and keep us posted with what happens Tati!

And TAti, how far in your pregnancy are you? I think if you are within the first 5 months; and you say that you want to visit for a month- because your landing is delayed by the delay of the renewal of the medical test due to pregnancy- before you come and deliver next to your mom in Lebanon, you would be guaranteed a visa.

I think this what they meant; especially if there was communications between you advising them that you are pregnant. Let us know if you ever told them that you are pregnant or if they ever emailed to renew your medicals.

thank you still waiting for the information, I wanna apply for visit visa but I am still worried,
what can I tell them, how can I persuade them that I will back, I think they will refuse 99.9%

LOL!!!  the whole Egyptian thing was funny.. couldn't find the guy you were referring to though hehe!!!
On a different note, do you mind if I asked you if you and your husband are 100%, because yesterday my husband was again on the phone with the MP's office and they told him enno the long delay are standard if one of the spouses are of Palestinian origin for example. You odn't have to share that info if you don't want but I thought I'd share so you'd know.
We also found out that the MP's office have access to all the info on our files, so they told my husband that everything is very standard in file and there aren't any extreme delays, they explained that the visa officers are not consistent with the amount or quality of work they put it, he used the word moody:(
But the important part is I wanted to urge you again to get in touch with your MP to at least have the peace of mind that there isn't any sort of abnormal delays happening.
I know your husband is against the whole idea, but pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ask him again or at least if you know his zip code or preferably whole address, you can do it yourself and track it on your own.
Let me know if you need any help with that.

Yea elias, exactly 100%. And tati, they are telling you in a generic way that your pregnancy is noted and they will be waiting for your new medical when you do it.

Hi Still Waiting, thank you for remembering me  Kiss I am always here, reading all your posts, I just took 1 whole week off from my work to have some time on my own.

Yesterday I was passing in front of the embassy at 5:30pm and saw a delivery boy going inside and taking food and I thought maybe they are really working overtime to finish our files  Roll Eyes

Good Luck for everybody and I really really wish we all get over this very soon
kisses
