There is lots of fraudulent activity out there.
And to give you another surprise I have applied to sponsor my parents and two siblings (a brother and sister) in 2007!
And the 2 statuses of the application are at the same stage as my wife's application which I have filed in 2011!

I went to Lebanon 3 times last year, and this year once so far.
Now they stopped accepting new parents applications, instead they started what they call "super visa" which is a 10 year visitor visa, but you have to buy them medical insurance for the whole year every year.
