Hey, we have finally found out that the update of e-cas is up to the discretion of the officer; that is why it varies significantly between applicants. A lot of people never get any updates on e-cas to the extent that some got their visa with "in process" or "application received" as status. So don't worry too much about it, it has proven to be unreliable.

Guys, we had a heavy rough week! I'm glad that we have couple of days of "vacation time" before we start stressing, waiting and counting again. So what is the solution? what can we do? I simply don't know because most likely there isn't much we can do except praying and hoping to get out of this in one piece. Tati in the Damascus forum mentioned that they have replied to her email with the usual general stuff, however, they have also added that they are working on FEB 2011 files; which is extremely untrue because Kat's file was received much later than that date. I'm afraid that this is extremely random, I hope chaos will land on us very very very soon. May God bless us all and bestow his divine grace on us.

We really don't know on what basis they are working, as you said we only can pray and hope

thank you Anoushka , when i saw something new on the page my heart just stopped i thought they added something like come and bring your passport hehehe but i had that same feeling that someone is working on our file that is why they added my husbands mailing address ( i hope we are right ) and btw sanatanaleb how do u know that new application will take 6-8 months .. if they are still working on the files that were from damascus to beirut it has only been 4 months since beirut starting working on application ... i dont think that is valid news since they havent worked on new files from beirut they are still working on the files that they have received from damascus anywho i hope your right and it does take 6-8 months .... everyting is a mystery with them and its true every case is different because we cant tell whats the real waiting period ... its random i find when someone wait 22 mionths and another 15 months .... does anyone know if anyone got any visas this week i dont remember seeing anyone getting their visas this week from this forum .. i hope they did give out visas to those who arnt here and hope thy just didnt stop giving visas ...
yalla next week is a new weeek .. this is my new theory im going week by week instead of thinking i still have to wait 3-4 months ... it goes faster whe u try to pass 1 week at a time

hi nono theres nothin called workin on applications recivede from damsc they cnt leave an application and work on another they work on everything i told ano my friend in leb shes a girl her file were at damsc she took her visa in feb im so sure from wat i sayin and everytues and thu ppl r takin visas u cnt just think abt this forum theres lotsa ppl outside have same case depends ur application and the officer tht workin on it always lebanon took6 to 8 max 10 no more ,i kno becz where i used to live at my country lotsa ppl goes to canada as sponsorship app sometimes 3 months sometimes 6 and 8 the thing is every app have something to do with syria is a diff case and lebanon have immig i think since 2009 not from now,ill proof to u soon when they recive my appin leb and they update my status lawyrs r liars and mpr liars justto take money from us and theapplicationdoesnt need anylwayer or anything its all abt proofs and the truth of ur application and if theapplication is clean thts all ,,

I guess Santanaleb is right, Lebanese files usually takes 6 to 8 months (this is what the woman from the embassy told me when I applied to visit my fiance "ofcourse that was the reason they didn't issue my visa hehehee"). But now they have alot of accumulated files that's why it is taking thaaaaaaaat long, I am quite sure that there are people out of this forum are taking their visas, and I am also sure that some people are waiting less than the others.
nono, I am doing the same like you, i will enjoy my summer and will not think too much

santanaleb i am wainting since 16 month !!!!!!!! whats going on ? canadian embassy in syria closed on of the reasons... but if for exemple my wife was refused they would tell us !!! so as u said it s just a matter of luck with officier

hi all lol, my time is diff thts why i reply now becz i live in venezuela and hi ano have a nice weekend ,and fadi theres no refuese hen ur accepted in canada lebanese cnt refuese ur app ma khason ,when big ppl talk small ppl gonna be quit and when ur approved thts it ill tell u agaain every file was in syria is a diff case ,never a lebnese took more then 10 months before the war now in syria since it started everything is damged and dnt worrry all u guys applications was just there in syria in the tables and no 1 was lookin at them and now in beirut they workin hard weekends and days just to finish ,thank u guys
