Hi,

Although I understand how an Internationally Educated Nurse becomes a nurse in Alberta and BC I need help understanding the process in Ontario with the CNO as an RN or Licensed Practical Nurse. Please share you knowledge and experience, in English.

Hi Kim, you opened so many threads for the same question. If you want for Ontario, go to www.CNO.ORG. click on international applicants and follow the instruction.if you make an online application, they will send you the application package.

Thanks Melsa,

I know. For the most part CNO has a lot of great information on the site, but the steps of the process for IENs is not clear. I am not an IEN so I can not apply. Furthermore, steps are often missed in information packages. I get questions all the time from people wanting to immigrate, or move from one province to another, or having just immigrated. I always give information about BC and Alberta, as their websites are clear, and I know many people going through the process. So I opened a new thread with the same question for different provinces as each has a different process.  I would like to be able to give out more information about the process: exams, English requirements, upgrading, courses for both registered nurses and practical nurses.
