BCPNP - common law question - please help! :)

Hi there,

My partner and I are from New Zealand residing in B.C. We both on work permits of which we both went through the LMO process to acquire. My work permit end date is October 31st 2011 and my partners end date is December 31st 2011.

I am about to submit an application for BCPNP and list my partner as common law. How will this effect his current work permit? Will he be able to change to an open work permit if my application is approved?
