Akk, I only sent FBI and PCC from home country adn I haven't heard anything from then since mid Jan...... and I do not remember anything about state PCC, but I might have overlooked that because I followed an advice of one of my coworkers who filed Canadian PR 2 years back..... he just sent FBI and PCC from home country...... seems to be that requirements have changed so most probably I'll  be getting a request from CIC later in the process...

Actually I was checking my docs, I did not send any state pcc (just FBI, and home country ones), I think when we applied this was not a requirement.

Maybe that's why ingegarcia didn't send them...

And since neither my application nor ingegarcia's didn't return (it is being over month that CIC received ours), I think we will be ok?!

Can you please send the link that says about state pcc, please?

Akk

Thanks ,

I know which PCC'S  are required and how recent it needs to be ...ofcourse except state PCC

But i did not know that we have to send it all , along with our initial application package to CIC

Also consider than FBI certificate do not suppose to have more than 3 months old when summit to CIC, I don;t know about state certifiactes

We hope CIC will not request us for USA states PCCs. Changes happened after we sent applications :-)

I don't think they can subject applications mailed before 02/19 to the requirement of state PCC. You guys should relax.

They can request the state ones if they wish, if you see the appendix A it says state certificates may be required.

This date you are saying (02/29) is related to docs sent to AINP, not to CIC..
That is the confusion, CIC does not say anything about dates or when they created this new rule....and I believe they can ask whatever they want....
We need to wait until people get AOR with medicals to see if they will ask for state too...if then don't ask with it, probably we don't need it...but if someone here reports that this was asked, then we should prepare our pockets.

Agreed in case of people who sent applications to CIC already, but new applicants should add state  PCCs at the beginning if possible.

Hi,

I am in the process of filling out the  FBI fingerprint form and have a question regarding the same. There is cover letter also which has to be  filled out with the fingerprint form. The Cover letter is in the PDF format which has to be printed and the details are supposed to be hand written. Here is how the some content in the cover letter looks like..

" I , ______________________, am requesting a criminal history background check for personal review pursuant to 26CFRS16.30-16.34. Please email the results to check to the following address : "

Here is the link for the cover letter. http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/cover_letter.pdf

My question here is what does 26CFRS16.30-16.34 mean in the cover letter ?

Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

"The basic Federal authority for the Attorney General to maintain criminal history information is found at 28 United States Code (U.S.C.), § 534"

http://foia.fbi.gov/firsiafis.htm

There you go apali. A quick search on google gives you most of the answers.
Now tell me one thing, how does this extra information change anything at all? They have a cover letter - fill it, forget it... just like hero honda Smiley
