I am in the same boat!!.. I submitted CIC forms without state police certificates...  and I also need the Police Certificate from Ohio :))... it seems to be that it is only for state residents...  I emailed this questions to one of the email addresses I found in the website hopefully I'll get some info about the process... I'll let you know the answer

BTW I am also crossing my fingers so CIC doesn't request the state police certificates...

Man ,

I just submitted my cic application with the FBI clearance and country PCC. I never saw this new requirement for State PCC.

Folks , do you think my application would be returned . Or do they send a letter requesting for additional documents.
(State PCC) ..

Btw , i need to get state PCC from Illinois ,Michigan and Ohio . None of the states seem clear on the process...

Lord .. give us alll a big break !!!

ingegarcia,
I think you submitted before the page has been updated, am i right? Did you confirm with CIC that you still need to submit States PCCs in USA? I just sent an email to Canada Immigration Section, Buffalo. I will update here as soon as I hear from them.
Thanks

My recommendation to the State PCC, go to the police station closed to downtown, I went on the one near my house, ( I live on the suburbs) and they don;t have a clue and they send me to another place. Today I went this morning to the one near my Job and I just ask for the State PCC and they told yes is $16 and will be ready tomorrow,  and how about the fingerprint for the FBI? yes we do that too and is $26 and you get your fingers scan by a machine and also with ink, so at he end I Finnish with 2 cards.  Woohoo...  :-D

I don't know how easy to me getting 3 PCCs from 3 states. This might be so hectic job to me next. Don't know why they are keep changing rules this recession time.

I applied on Jan 15 and I haven't called/emailed CIC...... and they haven't replied AOR so I am going to wait and see..... besides this might depend on the immigration officer reviewing the case... I might be wrong.... Anyway I would rather wait because it is $150 dollars for the 3 PCCs I need :))

have anyway since I have to spend $150 dollars for 3 states PCC I am going to ... Also I guess it does not make sense for me to start requesting PCC from 3 states now... it is $150 dollars  so I'll wait and see... besides it seems to be that this process is pretty fast... around 2/3 days...

You didn't send PCC, Ingegarcia?

CIC says on the check list that if the applicant don't send everything they are asking they would return the application..

Akk

I guess for us who already sent application to CIC it is better to wait and see if they request the PCCs...

BTW it seems to be a little expensive at least in my case..... I checked the website and the average is $25 dollars each PCC... for me and my wife and multiply for 3 states I've lived in is around us$150.00...

Also some require fingerprints... some must be done directly in the state, at least in the case of OH.... not complaining just that it adds more hassle to the process.....

Akk ,

I am awaiting my nomination but wants know now so that i can start preparing

Are they asking us to send State pcc , FBI pcc and all other PCC along with the application we send to CIC buffalo for the first time ?

I heard that once we send CIC, our application ,they will ask for PCC's

Actually I was checking my docs, I did not send any state pcc (just FBI, and home country ones), I think when we applied this was not a requirement.

Maybe that's why ingegarcia didn't send them...

And since neither my application nor ingegarcia's didn't return (it is being over month that CIC received ours), I think we will be ok?!

Can you please send the link that says about state pcc, please?

Akk

Akk, I only sent FBI and PCC from home country adn I haven't heard anything from then since mid Jan...... and I do not remember anything about state PCC, but I might have overlooked that because I followed an advice of one of my coworkers who filed Canadian PR 2 years back..... he just sent FBI and PCC from home country...... seems to be that requirements have changed so most probably I'll  be getting a request from CIC later in the process...
