BC PNP confusion!!

I'm in a real confused state regarding my PNP application.
I had applied on 31st of July'08 for BC PNP and
ten days later
a collegue from my work-place applied for the same.
My employer and my collegue got the
receipt of application
and
file number
for her application.
I haven't received any mail or notification, regarding my application.
Can anyone, please help?

All people are not processed equally,I brought my Taiwanese friend in yesterday and We met the manager and We waited for our receipt and got it in 1 hour,Maybe He was lucky or knew somebody

wow that was very fast...so does ur friend still have to wait 16 weeks even getting a file number?
